Description
Let's see she is an egyptian merpony with uber sparkles!
She was given a full body paint in black and sealed with Testors Dullcoat. Her body has been given "scales" of goldleafing in several areas. These areas have been sealed thoroughly. Her eyes were painted in acrylics and sealed with triple thick gloss for a deep wet look.Her tail was sculpted from apoxie clay and painted with a metallic paint and sealed with sculpey gloss for added shine. She has over 75 swarvoski crystals embedded in her tail.
Her fin was an experiment with wire and clear plastic and i think it turned out well. She has a golden crackle glaze over the front part of her fin with turquoise glittered tips and the back of her fin has microbeads and glitter and is sealed with gallery glass. Her fin has been covered with triple thick gloss to prevent stickiness.
She has an added accessory of a sculpted bracelet with embedded swarvoskis which was made with apoxie sculpt. It was painted with gold leaf and acrylics and sealed with gloss.
She has a crown made of several sizes and colors of swarvoski crystals which have been embedded in the front of her head with sequin pins. This is not glued into place and is fully removable.
She was rehaired with a combination of nylon pony hair and saran hair in the shades: DH 24K/Golden Auburn Blend, DH Bobby Blue, RD Blue 830, and some DH Sunlight for sparkle. Her hair was then twisted and pinned into place with turquoise and gold pearl pins. This is not glued into place and is removable.
Base~
Base is wood and is covered with real sand and glitter which is glued in place. There are several sand/glitter covered rocks and jewels as well, which are non removable. The water area is painted in blended acrylics and sealed with "Realistic Water" with added glitter for sparkle. The vase is removable and has been hand sculpted and painted by me. The gold detail is goldleafed and sealed, but the black is not sealed.
The edges and bottom of the base have been hand gold leafed with variegated blue. It has been sealed 3 times to prevent stickiness.
